Lochailort are proud to support Sebastian’s Action Trust – a registered charity formed in 2004 with the primary aim of realising the dying wish of nine-year-old Sebastian Gates, who wanted to create a respite centre for life-limited children.
Lochailort have devoted their personal and professional resources to the construction of The Bluebells, the UK’s first purpose-built facility offering vital specialist respite breaks to the families of seriously ill and life-limited children with additional emotional, social and practical support.
Currently Lochailort are helping to further develop Sebastian’s second outreach facility The Woodlands which will include two specially adapted lodges enabling more families to receive much needed support and enjoy respite breaks away from the rigours of hospital appointments and gruelling treatments.
Lochailort continue to show their wholehearted support with fundraising events.
Lochailort sponsored an afternoon tea at the House of Commons for Sebastian’s Action Trust to launch their new campaign “Just One Day to Remember”
Lochailort were delighted to support Sebastian’s Action Trust by sponsoring an afternoon tea at the House of Commons to launch their new campaign “Just One Day to Remember”.
The campaign will raise awareness of the enduring loss that comes with the death of a child. Sebastian’s will aim to approach local schools to encourage the development of a bereavement policy and staff training to support bereaved siblings.
Sebastian’s will also approach corporate partners to raise awareness of bereavement, asking them to recognise that grief does not have an end date and that parents will always carry that immense weight with them. They will ask employers to show their support by allowing one extra day a year of paid leave as a symbolic gesture towards bereaved parents.
Lochailort were delighted to support the Lambourn Riding for the Disabled Association participating in the Parsons Green Triathlon which was completed in record time.

Simon Weston Sporting Challenge
Lochailort were proud to be one of the sponsors of ‘The Simon Weston Sporting Challenge’ a Testimonial day for Simon which gave us a chance to mark Simon’s achievements and to give something back to him.
When the Sir Galahad was destroyed in the Bluff Cove air attack during the Falklands War in 1892, Simon Weston was on board serving as a Welsh Guardsman. He was severely injured, sustaining burns to 46% of his body, changing his life forever.
Since then, he has become an inspiration for his courage and determination to overcome his injuries and redefining his role in life. Simon is a phenomenal person and an example to all. A true hero. Despite the challenges he has faced, he has spent his life giving back and helping others with no expectation of anything in return.
The event at E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground raised £35,000.
